A viral clearance cascade is a tool used to assess testing and treatment outcomes for patients with HCV within a defined population. It allows public health professionals to identify gaps in HCV testing and treatment to improve the health of either individuals or communities.
The viral clearance cascade is also a key component of the Laboratory-based Hepatitis C Virus Clearance Cascade Program Guidance for Local and State Health Departments (July 20, 2021).
